Mobile Cleaning Unit
You see, one square foot of carpet can hold almost one pound of dirt before it really becomes visible. So most companies only concern themselves with removing the top layer of soil that you can see. In the process, they unknowingly leave a lot of soap behind which becomes a sticky residue and re-attracts soil at a rapid rate. Not just soil either, there's a host of contaminants that are now harder to vacuum out because they are stuck to the fibers.
Through Gravity, they end up in your carpet, rugs and upholstery. Then as you walk upon your carpet, you are grinding, crushing and embedding these contaminants down in the fibers. what's worse is everyday, sand and grit is stripping your fibers natural luster to a dull appearance that becomes permanent.
YOUR CARPET HAS BEEN Protecting YOUR FAMILY FROM THESE HARMFUL TOXINS!
Here's how. These contaminants get trapped in your carpet. Your carpet keeps them from infecting the air you and your family breathe. But they need to be removed periodically or your carpet will begin to overflow. Be careful who you hire to do this. Do not be seduced by the low price ads. (click here to watch a 20/20 undercover investigation). Take some time to become informed about who you should hire, its worth it. Find a firm that is IICRC Certified. The carpet mills recognize them as the official stamp of approval for any professional that wants to clean their goods. Hiring a company that is not IICRC approved is like feeding your family food that is not FDA approved. Very risky and unnecessary. Because there are only five companies in Birmingham Alabama, you have to be very careful about who you let in your home to wet your carpet.
For years I have listened to clients who have been the victims of uneducated, unethical and/or unscrupulous carpet cleaners. So I went undercover and hired some myself and here is what I came up with:
When you hire a professional carpet cleaner based on price your results will be poor and here is why:
Since he is the cheapest, he uses the cheapest harshest chemicals. This makes sense because if he is the cheapest then he naturally can only afford the cheapest stuff. These cheap chemicals are harsh and strip the fiber of its protective properties leaving it vulnerable to dirt and stains.
Also he can't afford good equipment so he often uses improper and inadequate equipment to try to get the job done. His equipment is manual and aggressive and often causes fiber distortion and other unwanted side affects that shorten the life of the carpet.
He is in a hurry because he has to line up a lot of cheap work in order to make a living. He doesn't have enough time to be detailed in his work. His one size fits all carpet cleaning leaves your carpet drowning in dirty soapy water.
You can hire him if you want, I did, but you may also have to call me to clean up after him. I had to do that too!
